On the horizon - season 25/26
What will the 2025/2026 season bring? In addition to a number of important concerts and projects, solo performances and international tours, it will also be necessary to record a solo CD with the Janáček Philharmonic, debut at the Bratislava Festival or the role of the conductor. Jiří Vodička will present works of world and Czech repertoire and builds on successful cooperation from previous years.
The
season 2025/2026 will be extremely varied for Jiří Vodička - it will bring the expected debuts, returns to popular works and new musical challenges. Already in September, he will perform in a double role of soloists and conductor at a concert with the Olomouc Philharmonic. A few weeks later, they will perform with the chamber ensemble The Trio, with which together with the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra in Zlín will be performed by Beethoven's famous three -concert for piano, violin and cello.
The highlights of the upcoming season will include the Karlovy Vary variations, where Jiří Vodička will present himself as a soloist with the Czech Philharmonic in Korngold's violin concert or the opening concert of Bennewitz Festival with the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra.
The great event of spring 2026 will be cooperation with the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava. Under the baton of Robert Kružík, Jiří Vodička will perform a new solo album for Suprahon. The albums will become two major violin concerts of the 20th century - Korngold and Barber. Another important moment will bring the return of The Trio to the Prague scene, when this reputable ensemble will perform in the Agnes monastery as part of the FOK chamber series.
Chamber music will be an important part of the whole season. In various corners of the Czech Republic there will be projects that quickly gained the popularity of the audience - virtuoso Devilish strings, dramaturgically varied cycle In the footsteps of Antonín Dvořák or the unusual dialogue of two violinists Two masters, one stage in which Jiří Vodička performs alongside his colleague.
So the diverse and charged season - from solo recitals and orchestral concerts awaits him to chamber cooperation. In addition to returning to proven programs, it will also bring new chapters that promise strong musical experiences. "I will be glad if you - whether in the concert halls or through new recordings," adds Jiří Vodička.
