Barocco sempre giovane is a prestigious chamber ensemble composed of outstanding young Czech musicians. The collaboration with Jiří Vodička has given rise to a concert programme featuring exceptionally demanding repertoire. The programme is dedicated to three renowned Baroque composers: Pietro Antonio Locatelli, Arcangelo Corelli, and Giuseppe Tartini.
Barocco sempre giovane (literally Baroque Forever Young) is a chamber ensemble that, since its founding in 2004, has excelled in the interpretation of High Baroque while also embracing Classical and contemporary repertoire. The ensemble regularly performs at prestigious festivals, records for radio and television, and collaborates with leading soloists from both the Czech and international music scene.
Their joint programme has received enthusiastic praise. As the review in Ostravan put it: “Jiří Vodička is, without exaggeration, the greatest phenomenon of the Czech violin scene today… The ensemble’s interplay throughout the concert was flawless and without the slightest hint of effort…”
